Coco Jones and Leon Thomas Team Up for "Here We Go (Uh Oh)" Remix
The original song's up for two Grammys this Sunday.
Coco Jones gave her hit “Here We Go (Uh Oh)” a fresh twist and brought Leon Thomas along for the ride.
Sampling Lenny Williams’ classic “Cause I Love You”, the track tells the all-too-relatable story of exes who can’t quite let go. Jones wrestles with moving on, singing, “I wanna love another person / Can I please love another person this time?” But Thomas steps in with a plea to give their love another shot, reminding her no relationship is perfect. “We done had our share of ups and downs, yeah / But every couple goes through stuff / Girl, you can’t fix that with some new love.”
This remix isn’t their first time working together. The duo previously put their spin on Justin Timberlake and Beyoncé’s “Until the End of Time” for Spotify Singles and linked up again when Thomas co-wrote Jones’ 2024 track “Sweep It Up.”
Meanwhile, “Here We Go (Uh Oh)” is having a serious moment. It’s currently in its sixth week at No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart and is up for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance at the 2025 Grammys, happening this Sunday, Feb. 2.
As for what’s next, Jones is preparing for her highly anticipated debut album expected later this year via High Standardz/Def Jam. It’ll be her first full-length project following her 2022 EP, ‘What I Didn’t Tell You’, which gave us the Grammy-winning “ICU” produced by Camper.
On the flip side, Thomas has been making waves with his own music. His sophomore album, ‘MUTT’, dropped September 2024 and featured collaborations with Ty Dolla $ign, Masego, Wale, and more.
With both artists at the top of their game, this remix is just another win.
